ROHINGYA Relief organizations fear the worst. It is difficult to imagine how dire the situation will become once cyclones strike and it rains for days on end.

Thanks to your unfailing solidarity, in 2017 we were once again able to provide aid where it was desperately needed, both abroad and in Switzerland.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY When crisis or disaster strikes, women are often at risk. That is why supporting them is one of our priorities and why we engage with our partners to help women in these situations.

From 2011 to the end of 2017, the well-known SRF radio presenter and producer Ladina Spiess was the voice of Swiss Solidarity. For seven years, she gave a voice to people affected by disaster. Emphatic and close to the affected populations, yet maintaining the necessary critical distance – this is
