2019: What we achieved together

Thanks to your support and the untiring efforts of our partner NGOs, in 2019 we were able to give hope to around six million people in Switzerland and abroad suffering in crises and catastrophes. We are delighted to share with you some of our success stories from last year.

Thanks to your support, in 2019 we were able tofund projects in Switzerland and in 36 other countriesin which people are suffering from humanitarian crises, violence, conflict or natural disasters.

Using donations made in 2019 and in previous years, last year we were able to support234 projects run by our partner NGOsin Switzerland,Bangladesh, Mozambique and many other countries.

Thanks to your generous donations, last year we were able to help and give hope to around six million people, providingemergency aid,social assistance, and supporting projects in a range of fields, fromchild welfaretoreconstructionandeconomic regeneration.

In 2019 you donated CHF 20 million for the victims of thewar in Yemenand of Hurricane Idai in Mozambique, forwomen in forgotten crisesand children in Switzerland who are the victims of domestic violence.

How your donation was used in Switzerland

Over 17 per cent of all donations received went towards projects in Switzerland. These projects focus on helping a range of different people: children who are victims of domestic violence, young people wanting to reintegrate into society and the world of work, the victims of the Bondo landslide and others who have suffered as the result of severe weather events in Switzerland.
